Thank you for your generous contribution and support for the recent Annual Pancake Breakfast. Nearly 400 community residents attended to enjoy food, fellowship and learn more about our community.

Boy Scout Troop #7 did a tremendous job cooking a never-ending supply of pancakes and sausages. Families were able to tour the fire station and see the fire trucks and equipment first hand.

We want to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” for your generous donation to help support our inaugural “Run for Your Life Safety” 5K Run/Walk that benefits the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance and their very important “Camp I Am Me” for children with burns.

Each year the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance has a week long camp that allows children who have experienced significant burn injuries to learn to become a child again. In many cases, it is a positive life changing experience for these children where they have the opportunity to build their self-esteem as they enjoy the varied activities that make up the camp experience.

The IFSA also has many preventive programs that include the State Juvenile Fire Setter Intervention Program, Sparkler Safety and Fire Safety and Burn Prevention for Older Adults. If you would like additional information regarding their activities you can visit their website at www.ifsa.org.
